On the side note about lockouts not holding up, any driveline component will fail when pushed to the limits, where that limit is found depends on power, tire size, grip, and most importantly the DRIVER. For my driving style I believe I'll be fine, and when parts start breaking I'll upgrade if needed. Personally I'd rather repair a lockout in the middle of a rock garden than a u joint or axle shaft. If the lockout is the weak point it will hopefully act as a fuse and save more expensive and difficult repairs. Just my humble opinion.
