You can, but I did not. I just turned the bolts all the way up. It makes it ride a bit stiffer but my wife doesn't complain
alignment Im going to assume is a must after this

will doing this without doing a body lift still clear the 33's (again will never intentionally be offroad)
Ours with the body lift rub slightly, I imagine without the body lift it would rub alot

for the rear do I have to axle flip or just buy the drop shackles and add them in

I used homemade shackles, they are a simple design and easy to make. If you dont want to make them then warrior makes a shackle. All you have to do is remove the oe shackle and replace it with the longer one. As long as the bolts come out of the bushing, it is easy.

You can play with rim sizes and back spacing to get different results.
