I'm not sure if it was always that way, but I'm starting to think so. I've never seen anything different, although all the trucks I've had have been 351/400M or 429/460. I've never had a small block or six popper truck.
The truck I bought has 4.10 gears. It also has a dana 60 in the front. I am not sure if this is factory orig. The truck is a 1978 f 250 351 m and a 4 speed manual / 205 combo
