Default Anyone ever use Lizard Skin insulation?

I have been looking around for some heat resistants for my firewall of my Jeep. I seen Lizard Skin on "Trucks" and looking for some input. My main objective is to try and keep heat off my feet. I have a CJ thats been cut up with the firewall moved back so my feet are in a pretty confined area. I'll be running a V8 so my feet will be very close to the exhaust manifolds. I read up on lizard Skin and says it will knock heat down by up to 30 deg. This does not seem to be very much. Has anyone else used anything else that may work better. Space is going to be an issue. My firewall is not flat either. Any input would be appreciated.
