This is correct.
However the fight is deeper than just "losing great routes." The DNR has been closing people out from enjoying THEIR (public) land for years. It hasn't just been the last 2-3 years. It's been the past few decades. It's worse now than it ever has been.
SnoFari has been denied use of one public road. That road has been scheduled to go under review for closure this year. It will most likely meet the same closing style the several other sections of road have seen, a bunch of tree's which they fell across the trail, and then seeded the trail. These trails that have been closed have had to be removed from the SnoFari permit application for the obvious reasons (not usable anymore).
