I always enjoyed St Ignace when there was enough snow that far south. The railroad grade out to trout lake can be fun, then you can hit newberry, seney, soo st marie, paradise. if the railroad trail is melted you can trailer out to castle rock road or trout lake to unload. the trails south of M28 see much less traffic, and the towns (germfask, curtis, epouffette, naubinway, cut river, etc) are pleased to have you. Very nicely maintained as well.
