With that trans (or any non OD,) 4th gear will still be 1:1 and not effect top speed. With that or a T18, T19 etc... you just gain the granny geared 1st to obtain higher mechanical leverage for difficult low speed obstacles.
The flywheel has some heat spots on it, get it ground. That said, you don't just do one part of a clutch job.
Don't worry about the shackels until you get to tearing apart the suspension.
I'd never go less than 4:10's with 35's & an I4 engine.
i talked to somebody and they mentioned trying to find a 5 spd for the highway. but i figured 4.56 with 35's atleast. going to pick up the new clutch, throw out bearing, 4 new u joints and then swinging by jeepinz for the brake booster today.
