Default DOHC advice needed

I blew the timing belt on a 98 ford escort zx2. It has a 2.0 dohc engine. I have found this is a non interference engine so the valve should be fine. My question comes with how do i get everything timed back to were it should be? There are no marks on the cam gears so i am lost. If i have it on TDC on the intake stroke with the intake valves open and exhaust vavles shut shouldnt that get me close? Car is a piece that i use to get back and forth to work so spending tons of money is out of the question, was hoping to fix it myself but not looking good.
