Nope, not true. When I bought my trailer this spring, the price to go from a steel trailer to an aluminum trailer was over $3000 difference. Weight savings? 400 pounds.

I agree, it's the wind resistance. When pulling my enclosed trailer empty, I got worse mileage than pulling my flatbed with the jeep on it.
