That is a cummins. the 3000 stall is way to much for a stock motor. that thing is slipping like crazy during normal driving? you cant be running much more than 2300 rpm down the highway? for a lot of towing you would want a tighter converter than stock. like 1400-1600 stall a heavy RV/towing converter. that's what i put in my truck when i rebuilt the trans. i get 1.5-2 mpg better fuel economy because its more efficient than a high stall. also the 6.0 swap is a great idea. not super complicated. lots of the swaps are posted online. plus lots of easy power potential in the ls engines.
