Yes, in an ideal world were the throttle angles and engine loads are low, ignition is at an advanced enough to take advantage of it, and engine speed is low enough to not suck lots of air. 4.10's and a 4l80 trans on the highway don't allow it.
I didn't purposely disable the EGR... Doing the intake gasket job the L31's need frequently crushed the EGR hose, and michigan salt + plow truck duty cycle doesn't allow for removing the hose from the manifolds.... fml. Consequently, the mileage did not drop from the blown intake gasket state + egr to the good intake gasket state -egr.
When the 8.1 goes in I fully intend on doing experiments with and without EGR and EFILive. But i need to come up with 2k and 200 hours of free time.
