Truck:2008 Dodge Ram Hemi 4-door with factory trailer package

Engine: 5.7L "Hemi" with MDS


Auto 5-speed with tow/haul & OD lockout modes

Axle ratio:

Best economy Empty: (~6000 lbs):
22 through NC and VA with observed/enforced 65 mph speed limits and moderate temps (limited AC). No trailer/light load. MDS utilized.

Typical economy empty (~6000 lbs):
18-22 @ <65mph highway
16-18@ >70mph highway
14-16 city/mixed

Best Economy Towing (~10,500 - 16' tandem axle v-nose trailer with 7' width and 6' interior height hauling three ATVs) :

10-13 @ 65-70 using "tow/haul" mode - no MDS
