Default Towing with a motorhome, what should I look for before I buy?

I'm somewhat in the market for a motorhome... I will want to tow with it, so I am curious what I should know before I make a purchase.

Are some motorhomes inherently poor at towing? Can some of them not support the weight of a trailer? Most everything I am looking at is Class A, but have found a few nice Class Cs as well. I have to imagine the class C is already at it's limits without a trailer and wouldn't support a trailer at all.

I would be looking to tow about 8-9K lbs.

I just don't want to buy something and then find out they are terrible at towing.
