th-350 is a solid transmission.
the weight difference is trivial in a mud truck. th700r4 weighs 155 lbs, th350 weighs 120 lbs and a th400 weighs 135 lbs. the th400 has a higher horsepower loss compared to a th350 or a th700r4. a th700r4 can be built to handle high horsepower very easily and without much cost. my 700 was built to handle about 450 HP and it cost 900 bucks through tranny tom parts and labor.
