I'm in the same boat now. I need new trialer tires. The guy I bought it from four years ago had used car tires on it. It's made several trips up north at 70+ mph loaded in the summer with no blowouts. I also heard that the marathons are crap now that they are made overseas. From what I have heard and seen that the carlise radials had problems a few years back, but seem to have gotten that straightened out now. My next decision will be to buy load c or load d tires. The C's are rated at 1820 lbs/ & the D's are rated at 2150 lbs. My trailer has 2 3500 lb axles/ 7000 lb rating minus the 1200-1500 weight of the trailer. Right now I only pull my CJ or my TJ. When my K5 is done it will ride on there also. Any body know approx weight of a K5 with alum head small block,th400/205,60/14 on 40's.
