make sure you replace your valve stems, too! We had a blowout on I75 a year ago, turned out the valve stem had cracks in it, and was slowly leaking. We'd checked that morning and were good. Had no spare either, that was a fun day. Tire completlely exploded, delaminated tread, nothing but a few shreads of rubber left on the wheel. LOL, right in the middle of the bridgeport overpass with no shoulder.

When we got home, I found the valve stem cracks. Checked and found cracks in all the stems, and two others starting to lose pressure. Tires/rims/stems were only 4 yrs old.

I now keep double spares on the trailer, as I found no one stocks 5 on 5 trailer wheels loaded with tires. At least on a sunday afternoon they don't

Those were carlisles, and I some ameri-something or other. Only tire failure i've had in 10 years on a trailer.
