I'm in a quandry about trailer tires.
The tires on my enclosed ATV trailer are getting a little dried out looking. It's a 14' x 7.5' v-nose with tandem 3500 lb axles about five years old. 205/75-15s.
I've heard horror stories about all manner of low-quality Chinese trailer tires failing left and right. Our rowing trailer (46' go-fast trailer with triple axles) has had numerous Carlisles fail over the last few years). I check pressures regularly.
Do I go with (properly rated) trailer tires or truck tires?
I've heard Goodyear Marathons are crap (now Chinese made) and I've heard they're great if you check pressures and not overload.
Any issues replacing two (one axle) this year and the second axle next year?
This is the Pub. Leave common sense at the door.
