We've had these run-offs many times @ work between pushrod engines and higher reving OHC engines. With drivers not knowing whats under the hood, the pushrod comes out on top every time.
You should stop listing to the magazine writers so much, you're getting brainwashed like the rest of the 'pushrod condemning' public.

no it comes from years of roadracing motorcycles and there is no way a push rod engine can handle the RPM's and stresses that we put on those motors and last without major overhauls. If it did work then way haven't you seen a push rod motor in a GP bike or F1 car in the last 50yrs? I don't knock push rod motors but I can tell you the OHC motors have taken more abuse and lasted in my personal experience
