Default Bike question

I know this is a 4x4 web site, but just thought I would ask, I have a chance to buy a 2002 Yamaha 1100 V-Star Silverado with 36,000 miles. The first owner was an older lady, the second owner is a older guy I work with, he is looking to get something bigger. The bike is like show room and has the windshield and bags. My question is the miles. Seems high and I did not know the life on a v twin. She did alot of freeway riding and alway had it serviced at the dealership where she bought it brand new. The guy I work with only put on about 2500 miles in the last two or three years. I was thinking about buying the bike to save on gas and ride with others from work and things like that. So if I buy the bike should I be planning to put a motor in or rebuild in the near future or do does it have miles left on it? The bike runs like a top. Does not use oil or leak any as well.
