Default Minimum rim size on 3/4 ton Ford?

Whats the minimum rim size needed to clear 3/4 ton brakes?

I have a D44 from a 78 F250, I put my 1/2 ton brakes on it and discovered the calipers hit the 3/4 ton knuckles. I have 15 inch rims and i need to know if they will clear 3/4 ton brakes??(if i go that route) I need some sort of brake setup, but im having trouble finding a solution... any tips?

I heard i can use ford knuckles from a 77-79 F150 super-cab (i believe their the only ford 1/2 ton knuckles which are flat top so i could run my high steer and my brakes will fit) Problem is these knuckles are probably damn near impossible to find.
