I use CFL's in the house where we don't have low voltage halogen. Many have been going on two years now with no replacement. I've had two on the face of the garage that are more than a year old. They run from dusk till dawn.

I have a weird addiction to LED lights, but can't afford to switch the house over yet *lol* I do have LED strip lights under the cabinets, and they run pretty much all the time.

Incandescent bulbs will be around for a long time. Probably re-labeled space heaters or the like.
