Yet another welder question.....
This isn't really the standard "how little can I spend and get away with it" question. Right now I have narrowed it down to 3 in particular. All should provide years of hassle free welding. I just cant decide which will be better in the long run and be most useful. I currently do NOT have 220 in my garage but it is very doable...I need to wire a sub feed out there anyway for more 120 outlets.
---Least expensive of the bunch
Miller Dial arc 250/250 AC/DC Stick: Lacks ALL wires
---20ish year old Lincoln Ideal Arc 250/250 AC/DC Stick (Round top): 4 hour round trip but also includes 20' ground, 40' stinger, and air arc gun with carbon rod
---Lincoln gas welder w/6000W generator: Old school 16 hp IH motor, low hours, original owner bought it 20 years ago.
All of them have their upsides and downsides. What would you recommend getting.
