In college I worked for an arms dealer who supplied surplus firearms to various law enforcement domestically and abroad. m1/m2 carbines were a large portion of this. imported or domestic surplus parts were shipped in gaylords on pallets. sometimes just stocks, sometimes just barrels and sometimes a mix of everything. we disassembled, catigorized by manufacture stamp then built to whatever order they placed.

Just a statement, it's not a weapon until it is used as such. At this point the rifles are firearms and should be referred to as such.

I feel that using the term "weapon" on any gun is damaging to the cause.
