Try a couple things before you start buying parts.
1. try running with the fuel cap off. if the problem goes away then you tank vent is plugged. just so happens its just a nipple on top of the tank and get packed with mud or have hornets nest in it.

2. Bio guard fuel additive. fuel is an organic and is pron to grow bacteria. it will build up over time and plug your fuel pick simulating a bad lift pump. use the bio additive about once or twice a year to keep the crud out of the fuel.
