they are titanium cored, kevlar baked into the rubber, they are run flat because of how strong the sidewall is, you basically don't need air. it is the wierdest compound for the rubber because it is nice and hard so it doesn't wear hardly any but it is still soft so you can grab the rocks and every other terrain real nice-like. not to mention that they are z rated tires for todays standards.
