I myself prefer to cut the spring apart to save the bolt and the uniframe.
My Jeep is rusty enough that I was able to remove my carpet and place my hand inside the "frame" the welded nut is not in there its between the uniframe and spring bracket
How does cutting the spring apart get the bolt out easier or allow me to use heat on the nut?
