There have been multiple "parks" opened in Michigan in the past several years. They thought they were in compliance, but never had anything official from the township in place. Local residents piss and moan. They check the zoning and contest the use. The zoning board gets involved. They deem that it is a non-compatible use for the zoning in place. Park gets shut down. It has happened many times. You must work with your local township to make sure that you are in the green. Learn what acceptable uses are under the different zonings.
