again you obviously know nothing about the real world.

to answer your questions both teachers and surgeons are "professional" careers in that you must attend x amount of followup studies per year or every x period of years. This is the same as architects, engineers and other professions. so the fact that you feel a 70 year old surgeon is only up to date on 1953 technology is complete idiocy.
