I have had both replaced both am replacing the 2.5 now as we speak grr I would take the 4.0 over the 2.5 any day. As it does have more power. easier to mod. I would take it any day and it will last as long as you mantian it. Mine blew at 216,000 but there are some on here that wheel the heck out of the 2.5 you can read up on them at 4banger.com. Just my two cents
