I'm sick of it, and i have a friend down in florida who has been spending the last week helping a group get donations/ supplies and load planes.
The problem is that none of the people who really need it will get it.
One of the stations here in chicago did a long story on Haiti yesterday, pointing out the billions of dollars and resources we've sent there in the last 20 years to help them re-establish themselves, and they always fall back because there is no real want from it on their end.
Yes it's a tradgedy, yes alot of people have died. But we can't rush in to save every country that has a natural disaster when we can't take care of our own. How many countries have sent aid when the US has had a major hurricane, flood or earthquake?
Screw them all.
