You can get them without the fake suppressor, but to keep it legal, they also remove the stock on those (to keep it from being an SBR). To add a stock to one of those will cost you another $200 for the tax stamp.
I have one of these and just LOVE it. I was going to sell mine, but decided to keep it because of this stupid lawsuit and see what the market price does.
Mine will shoot sub dime size groups at 25 yards, and 3" groups at 100 yards with a non magnified imitation ACOG (16" barrel). Fantastic rifle.
