It's not funny, just a reality. We have no public healthcare option and they have an awesome set of benefits.
I think you see the picture as well as I - this isn't a debate about whether or not to create public healthcare, it is a move to link the people responsible for pushing the bill to it.
I think it makes all of us feel a bit better about the potential quality of a system (whether it be healthcare or social security) if our political leaders need to depend upon it also.
Not that there wouldn't be plenty of loopholes for them to take advantage of if it actually happened, but it still would go a long way to making me feel better about the votes they cast.
