Have a buddy coming over tomorrow to replace the slave cylinder in his 1989 f250 4x4. He said the bellhousing and trans are one piece?? The slave is leaking badly (says not line or junction, but from cylinder itself). Thing is this, the slave is an "inline". Not sure on terminology but it is inside the bell. Has an integrated throwout. I've never dealt with this style before. So, plan is to remove d-shafts, support TC/trans/bellhousing assembly, remove crossmember and finally bell to block bolts. Should pull out of clutch with this slave intact mounted to the trans/bell over the input shaft, right? Anything i should know ahead of time or watch for? Anything I'm missing? Don't want to tie the garage up for more than one day as my jeep trans is about ready to install. Thanks in advance.
