I agree that the 7.3l engines were awesome and its a shame that Ford was unable to continue production of them. As great as the 7.3 is, it also had its problems. I've replaced a lot of injectors, Injection control modules, cam sensors, turbochargers, high pressure oil pumps, and lets not get started on the oil leaks that I've fixed... that list could go on forever. I think the reason people hate the 6.0 is because it was unfamiliar technology that had to be installed to meet emmissions standards(this is what killed the 7.3l). In my opinion the 6.0 is a far better performing engine than the 7.3, it just had a lot of bugs to be worked out of it. I guess thats what happens when new technology is rushed into production.
