I will stand by my theory on winches... KISS. I wont own any winch but a simple m8000 style ever... a motor with some gears and a spool. solenoids are seperate from the winch and a winch is just a winch, not an air compressor, a jack, a wine cooler, a cocoa maker... my 25 year old warn M8000 worked so well i spent almost $400 to replace my old winch with a new one so I can keep the old M8000 around. if my cheap "comp" winch takes a crap I'll buy a really old M8000 and cut the drum down and run that.

warns dealer pricing is about 3 times what joe consumer can pick up a t-max for... seems like an easy choice.
