I've run a variety over the years and have witnessed failures and good service from both the high end and low end brands. I had the same issue as CC. I had a Warn 9.5TI that I paid over a grand for. About 5 years later the brake went out and they wanted over $200 for the part. On top of that, the part was back ordered. hmmmmm .... what does that tell me?

The T-max brand has had good reviews so I figure to give it a try. So far, so good with the exception of the handle which was broken by an over zealous person wanting to help. I don't like the delay in the remote but also wired a momentary switch in cab. By the way, that's one of the other things I didn't like about the 9.5TI. It was supposed to be the most sealed winch on the market. When I took it apart, there was all kinds of crud in it.

Given the funds, my next one will be a Warn 8274 again.
