Not sure what you consider "junk" but I ran a ramsey 8000 for two years without issue, it was just stupid slow, then I went to a ramsey 9000 that I got a good deal on for two years, never had an issue, just still stupid slow. Then I upgraded to a "high end" warn, and in the 1.5 years I ran it, I had a motor failure, my controller broke, had a solenoid go bad, then ultimately the brake wore out. When I went to purchase the part, and found out what Warn charges for the replacement brake , I decided never to give that company another penny.


Cliff notes: High end winches = total failure from my experiences.


My winch is also wired to a in-dash toggle switch system, but wireless is much better imo.
