It makes sense I suppose that the radiator is expanding and sealing it. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some other factor playing a part in this. I'm not refusing to buy a new radiator, I just wanted to be sure that this was the only problem.
with a crack, the system is then vented, so no pressure...it quit leaking because the level dropped below the leak...if it were expanding from higher temps, the crack would open more, not seal (generaly)
