Just an FYI....we will not be out of session completely from June 26 to the fall. We (the legislators; I still have to be here) have a couple week break scheduled around the 4th. Then, they will be back in session on and off during July and August.
So, there's still a possibility that this will get taken up this summer. It is low on the priority list, however, considering we're also dealing with the following hot topic items:
-energy reform (monopoly by consumers/DTE vs competition from small companies)
and yes, it's true, legislators can't walk and chew gum at the same time, so they insist on finishing one major item before moving on to the next. makes for a ridiculously slow process sometimes.
