My stockers seemed ok when I pulled them off. They are there if you want them, they need new bushings though.
I was just reading on early 5 about 2" with Ross, it seems most people swap for the convenience of the saggy. Less to get in the way, wear out and deal with after the lift (tilt column = more belly room
). Worth a shot
Yes I do have the tool brackets and pto. Willys Overland here in Toledo told me they used parts i.e. tool brackets left over from the war on the 46 cj2a
and called them "The Pioneer" addition. From what I understand they stopped using the collum shifter mid 1946 at serial number 38XXXX mine is 36XXXX.
Any way rarity is not as important to me as I just think its a cool set up though not always convienient.
I wouldnt mind having an extra cj2 or 3 to do just what you did. I think I need more money for that kind of project.
