Thanks! I had a tough time with welding the front side of mine. Everything was clean, surface was not contaminated with anything, I just couldn't get a good bead on it. I was using a Miller 220v, I adjusted the setting, gas, the way I had the tip pointed, ground, but it kept "popping."

I went the centers from Shawn @ Greatlakeoffroad, which have the holes off the edge, so I was able to fully weld them all the way around the center. Which is what Shawn suggested. The inside welds turned out good, but I ended up going back over the outside welds with my 140 to "clean" them up a bit. In short, I doubt these are going anywhere.

$500 to teach me to weld? Will you start referring business my way too?
