I recently picked up a 91 Jimmy 4.3 4x4 And all the vacuum lines are missing from the transfer case that engages the front axle. Just an off road vehicle I don't want to replace all the vacuum lines so I want to see if there's any tricks to permently engage the front axle I know it runs a cable to a vacuum actuator let me know thanks
The actuator should be on the pass inner fender. You may need to get the pass tire in the air to lock it in the axle. Pull the vacuum diaphragm back to engage the axle and clamp the cable. I've seen shadetree methods of using a battery terminal to hold the cable out. Pretty painless.
