I have an 88 gmc 1500 with a 3 inch body lift. I would like to make some brackets to lift my front and rear bumpers. Does anyone have a picture of what they look like? Or has anyone made there own?
dunno about that one. secondly if you lift your bumpers it may draw un wanted attention from the cops. they do make a filler extension for the fronts on those.
most body lift kits come with spacer blocks that simply go in between the bumper and the mounting brackets. i have some 2" blocks that came with my old body lift. i personally wouldn't lift the bumper as it reduces your strength if you ever hit or got hit by anything. filler panel would be a better idea IMO.
Its an off road truck only. Cops are not an issue. I did modify my front brackets to raise the bumper 3 inches. The rear I drilled new holes and mounted it higher and welded it.
