I m working on a samurai that idles but when you step on the gas it acts like its not getting gas we have changed carbs still the same changed fuel pumps still the same by passed stock fuel filter & put new clear one close to carb & its full of gas also tried swaping control box still the same the timing seems to be right & the air filter isnt plugged Im stumped any ideas????
Did you try Disconnecting the electrical to that high idle thingy, I think its called the TMSV or something. Has 2 vacuum lines going to it on the front of the engine on the Right Hand side.
IVE GOT IT IDLING & YOU CAN REV IT UP but It dies when I try to move it Ive checked all vacuum lines & they look like the stocker I have .the timing seems good Im going to try to swap distributor
Plugged exhaust? Cat converter might be all broken up and plugging the exhaust pipe. It might idle fine but bog down when reved up. Might try to loosen the exhaust pipe infront of the converter and see how it runs then.
