Alright fine, I'll make a new build thread :finger: :sonicjay:
Bought a MandM offroad chassis from PJ, super good dude to deal with and super nice. HIGHLY recommend. http://mandmfab.com/id68.html
This is chassis #20
Yeah at the chassis. I might be able to push another .5" out of the lowers. But at that point the link mount will be lower then the belly skid. Uppers can't go up any higher. All at the chassis side.
Uppers at chassis side need to go higher :teehee: srsly, 1" higher
40 deg triangulation, -1deg roll axis, 26% AS at 7" bump, 79% AS at 7" down (assuming 50% up/down), 6" separation at chassis, 9.5" at axle, IC length of wheelbase+, Roll axis pointed slightly down, 40.9" upper length, 41" lower length.

I would either bring the seperation on the chassis up to 7", or drop the seperation on the axle to 8".
having the link lengths the same is key for pinion rotation.
Other than that, stop sweating the numbers. They're good enough and they'll change a little once you start building the mounts and trying to package everything at full stuff.
Just keep making process, or you'll analyze the project to death, and eventual part out (we call that the Strangler Syndrome)
I'm heading down today. I'll give you a call tomorrow, but I'll be vehicle less so I'll have to figure out a way to get the press and other thing over to you.
Mounted my seats....ended up using my coilover tabs I bought :sonicjay:.
I also removed the clocking ring on the tcase, turns out in stock form it still clears my rails and the bottom of the belly. Now I just need to rework my crossmember a bit to clear the output, but it made the floor and seat mounts a whole lot easier to deal with.
Ordered up my steering column mount for my orbital from psc and my steering wheel from speedway motors. Was really hoping to get more done today but i think i am getting sick :whiz:. Thought it better to get a days rest instead. With an unemployed wife, if i dont work bills dont get paid.
Well decided to skip RandV today, first time missing news year day since they started doing it. But decided the funds and time was better spent in the garage. I actually feel like I accomplished something today.
Probably a good thing you didn't make it up to R&V. You probably would be putting a motor in the explorer if you did make it up. It was slick and had to use lots of wheel speed and momentum to climb the hills.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
