I've been training this winter for a few rides this summer and was wondering what everybody else's training chambers look like?

Super high tech? Michigan Basement? Some where between?

Here is mine. Tucked away in one of many basements here at Camp. This is where we keep our matresses for the winter as well as our Golf Carts. I just recently started using The Sufferfest Videos as training aids. So far so painful. Been kicking my butt.

I also decided to enjoy the beautiful weather today and train out side under one of our HVAC unit's repair shanty.

Just wondering if anybody else has a sweet place they like to train in?

I give you guys a lot of respect, there is no way I could EVER sit and spin on a trainer all day, I have a hard enough time considering going for a road ride or a gravel road ride with out having boredom over come me.

My training so far this winter has focused a lot around weight loss and efficency, trying to get down to 10% body fat (I figure its a good goal, the lower my % bodyfat is the better shape I must be in lol). For DH I don't sit and spin in the saddle for miles on end, our races are pretty much 8 hours of practice over rough terrain, so endurance is important in a different way. Race day is a few practice runs and then waiting your turn for a while, then a 5 minute sprint.

For the most part I have been focusing on overall body strength, endurance, and core strength, not to mention flexibility.

Usually looks like 3-4 days a week of functional weight training and some crossfit variations. 1-2 days a week at planet fitness on the treadmill doing intervals.

I can't wait for the weather to break so I can start riding my bike!

Those are some nice training areas!

I'm so jealous that some of you have been on the road. I can't wait to get off the trainer but I have to mount my new wheels first. The ones I'm using now are shot for any load bearing purposes. I plan on rebuilding them this next winter.

I also have to wait for it to get a little lighter in the morning. The only time I can afford to work out is before work. Usually starting at 5Am (the pictures from yesterday where on my day off). There isn't enough light for riding on the road yet. Even with lights I wouldn't feel safe in this area with all it's 'hills'.
