Will a 3" lift on a 2001 dodge ram extended cab cause any drive line issues? Drive shaft vibrations or anything? Will it clear 33x12.5s on 10" wide rims?

With a 3/4 ram you can get up to either 8 or 9 inches of lift before you have to worry about your driveshafts.

I have a 2 1/2" leveling spacer on my 01 cummins with 315 Mickey Thompsons on 3rd gen aluminum wheels with no issues. I also had a 99 ram 1500 sport with 3" BL and 3" spacer running 35x12.5's with lots of room left.

I am trying to figure out if the 2001 dodge I just got has some kind of lift in it. It seems like it kind of sits high compared to most. There is no leveling kit, The block under the leafs is 3"s and there are 5 leaf springs in the pack. I want to lift it to fit some 33 by 12.5 on 10 inch rims. Currently it has 285-75-16's on stock rims with no clearance issues at all.

If you have the Off-Road Edition and already have 285's on it, there is no need to do anything to the truck to fit 33's. Go find a tire size calculator online, convert the 285 size from metric to imperial and you will see why.

Don't bother with the 10" rims. You can safely run a 12.5" tire on a 7" rim. Your factory rims will be fine. A 10" rim on a 12.5" tire will push the sidewalls out and weaken the bead. The 10" rims most likely have less backspacing (like most aftermarket rims), which could actually cause you to have interference issues with the inner fenders if the wheels are set out too far.
