I have seen two of these on the road so far. This was the first time I actually got to get next to it and check it out. The other was on the 23rd on my way to Chicago, the car was on the side of the road on M14 under a bridge with its hazards on about an hour later it blew by me, I was going 75 mph and it was going at a good clip (in the ice and snow just past Albion) as I never saw it again.
This one had a full interior, no openings in the grill, head lights and tail lights still cammo'd. But it looks like its close to launching. On the interior pic you can see the e-stop button on the steering column in yellow.
For sure they drove it around to get spy photos out. When we launch a car, you can't even drive it out inside the plant without a complete camo job.
The numbers are for checking panel levelness & gap. Looks like those are certified lamps(the reason they're black and chunky), and they are measuring the panel accuracy.
I do think it looks pretty cool, a little mild styling though. You'd think for the first "electric" car it would look like a diablo or something really hot.
They have been driving those around for months now - no spy photos necessary. GM has been pandering to the press like you wouldn't believe for this car.
not bad looking and the dash isnt the latest in GM ugly... however white!?!?! real world?? I get the clean idea and green by being white, and I get the tie in they are thinking with apple, but yea just give it to me in silver, or even the exterior of the cars color
that isnt what it looked like at the auto show.... is it?
