Getting my heads milled here. Proabably gonna run like 12.1 Compression. Should be pushin around 450 out of my T.A. after this.:woot::woot:

haha yeah I love how people say how much power they are making at the wheels. When people ask me I just say I'm lucky to be making 300hp at the crank, but I honestly do not know...its enough for me.

And lifting the tire up halfway down the track.....get serious.

I honestly doubt it has anything to do with power. Probably just twisting issues. Im not lieing. I have no reason to lie to any of as I have no reason to impress any of. The front of these cars are very light.

Also this cars only got a 3.23 rear end. Thats what the 4 speeds came with. We just put this gear in a couple years ago. But then again I think my dad may of mest up hen he redid the rear end because this car runs at about 2300 RPMS at 50 MPH. Or is that normal for these cars?

As far as getting 12.1 by just milling your heads, it won't happen. You would need to add domed pistons. You could run pump gas with 12.1 but you would need to retard your timing to prevent spark knock. I would suggest buying a set of sportsman II's or soemthing. they flow better stock than most gm factory heads that have been worked on. And they are relatively cheap. Ypu can run vortec heads but you have to bu a different intake manifold due to the fact that the vortec heads only have 4 intake bolts per side opposed to the normal 6 per side. Put a 3.73 or 4.10 gear in the car and you will really see a differnce in power.

Thanks for that. So your saying sportsman II heads will work on the edlebrock intake I have on the car now?
And I was thinking of changeing the gear but the car is already at 2300 RPMS at 50mph in fourth gear!! I drive this car on the street alot.

Instead of cumming on here claiming your car is going to make 410hp at the wheels with just head work, you need to dyno it, show the graphs.

You can't just come up with a HP number by the components in the engine...there is to many variables that come into play.

WOW what the fuck. I SAID the car twist and the wheel comes of the ground. Its because the frames not tied. Go back and read my damn post about the wheel lifting. I was anwsering a question on the car twisting. GEEZE.

I am! Either way I call BS. My 93 cobra built to shit, prolly between 480 and 525hp, very light front end would not lift the front with street tires. So I say your hoopty is (if its really yours) MAYBE a 14sec slug. I bet there are people on this site who could out run you with a mt. bike. Time slip / dyno sheet or you are full of lies.

Well fortunatly theres no laws in this country saying I have to prove my self to a douchbag.


Also my car is a 1982 with almost no rust. Its in no way a hoopty. The paint on my car probably shines more than yours. Also, im 19 and don't have a ton to throw at the car.

no fucking way your car halfway down the track is pulling the tire off the ground, bull shit, my truck is a sub frame with no ties in it bitch twist out of the hole but settles down, down track

Well damn, I dont know. MAybe something else is wrong with the car. All I know is we have it on tape cause, my uncle is recording and he zooms in and its deffinitly not touching.
