So I saw the headline "NFL to begin HGH testing..." on drudge. Are they wanting to find who isn't on it?

Maybe a punter? the water boy?

Well, not quite.

The league has been pushing for some time. The Union has been blocking them.

This headline stems from a first baby step. Its not a test, but each player will have to do a blood sample, those will all be taken and checked, to build up a catalog of whats out there.

This is because the Union contends that maybe due to all the muscle/workouts, their normal background level of HGH will be higher in players who don't take it somehow, compared with all the background data from other sports.

The union just keeps trying to block anyway they can.

Now commence all the GL4x4 NFL bashing because they make more money than us.

Hehe, we were talknig the other day at work, they should come up with some sport, where its the opposite of all the various pro and amateur sports. In this <whatever bloodsport is selected>, these guys would be steroided out of their minds. We all know we can't turn away.

I say who cares. What is cheating really anyway, what's the criteria. I think that's the discussion they should be having in the media.

Is it anymore cheating than taking unnatural levels of protein and vitamins and other workout supplements? Is it anymore cheating than working out or practicing seven days a week while your competitor does five days a week? Should all the kids who take Adderall in college to study be expelled for cheating?

For the record I think people who take steroids are dumb, unless maybe you have millions of dollars to gain from it.

haha, DH mtb is probably more well known for lots of potheads :sonicjay:

Surprisingly, there are guys even on the weekend warrior level I compete at who are using. Pretty sad.

Look at how many power lifters use, and what kinda money do they make?

It doesn't matter the sport or the level, people are using.

roids can make a high school star get to college, a college star get to the pros, and an average pro a good pro, and a good pro a hall of famer.
